Preparing to wed.
The Bride takes her place beside
her husband-to-be while
the Flower Girls arrange her train
to lay across the tiles.
Phil could not keep his eyes off
this vision beside him!
Nor could the guests, or the cameras
... The words,
"She walks in beauty, as the night
..." came to mind.
And so it begins ...
Pastor Roy Bossenger presided over
the wedding ceremony.
Michael bore the rings with admirable
applomb, while the
Best Man, Vicky ~ who really looks
remarkably like Phil ~
listened earnestly to the tremendous
talk the Pastor gave.
Phil and Luana were equally attentive
~ it really was a
riveting service, and every one
of the guest enjoyed it.
(I understand some took the Pastor's
details, for future
engagements ...!) Sabine remained
cool and in control,
and very beautiful in her deep purple
gown. She was
a fitting complement to her best
friend since childhood.
Moments of serious reflection
...
Pastor Roy brought to all our minds
the intensity of the
marriage walk, its difficulties
and the hard work it takes
to make a relationship last as God
intended ~ forever.
... and moments of laughter too
...
He also stressed the joy and fun
that marriage can bring,
the delight a Christian couple who
set out to please Christ
can offer our Lord ~ and then he
reminded the parents that
they have no more place interfering
in their children's lives!
(VERY funny!!! Hah!)
