The wedding cake was also very special
- a finely layered
chocolate cake interleaved with
coffee and liqueur butter
icing, perfectly encased in marzipan
and white frosting,
decorated with fresh cut leaves
and cream flowers.
Luana has always liked simple elegance
rather
than intricate flourishes, and this
cake was perfect.
Cutting the cake
Well, I couldn't choose between
the two pictures ~ could you have?? :-)
The rings ...
... and a close shot of the tiny
seed pearls and lacework on
the bodice of the wedding gown.
The engagement ring
is centred with an Opal (again,
Luana's preference
for simple elegance), and she has
two wedding bands
specially made to encompass this,
one on either side.
Together the three rings make a
set, symbolising unity
and eternity in their never-ending
circle.
